Just in case you weren't convinced that I'm a hippie...

I made my own laundry soap on Friday. More and more evidence of my granola inner self seems to be manifesting itself lately. There's exhibit A, exhibit B, and I feel like there are more...

Anyway, consider homemade laundry soap exhibit whatever-letter-we-are-on, cause I'm hooked! It was easy peasy, and only took three ingredients. I used the liquid laundry soap recipe found on Young House Love (which I pinned a while back, for any of my pinterest loving friends). I plan to make more home made cleaning products as my current stash of store bought ones runs out (since I plan to reuse the bottles they came in for even more earth loving action) so I can have eco (and child) friendly cleaners without the cost of the fancy shmancy kind.

Find the recipe (along with a whole slew of other cleaning product recipes)  HERE

With just a few more ingredients (like vinegar, baking soda and a few other household things) I"ll be able to make a lot of the cleaners that I"ll need around the house.

Maybe I do seem like a bit of a hippie. I like to think of it as a more 'back to basics' approach... plus, my motive is usually something related to being a cheapskate, so maybe Birkenstocks aren't in my future...
