We have been doing all of our grocery shopping at Wegmans lately. If you have never heard of Wegmans before it is kind of like a whole foods, but larger and cheaper! Their produce section is like a culinary amusement park. Their cheese section would make a Frenchman feel overwhelmed. They carry things like Kobe beef, black truffles, and yellow raspberries. Shopping at Wegmans is an experience! Since we have so many fancy things at our disposal we decided to pick up one fancy or unusual item each time we shop. It is not a lot, but it is nice to occasionally partake of the finer things in life.
Here is our 'finer things' purchase for this week:
We found out that sometimes the finer things are not always the best things. We were so excited to try this soda, but it ended up being a flop. It just tasted like salty water. I think it can be salvaged though. I'm going to add some cream and some caramel flavored syrup (the kind they use in coffee shops) and make Italian sodas. We will see how it goes!
