JANUARY

Well it's been a while since my last post.  I think its a mix between my newness to blogging and laziness.  So here is a January re-cap.  Holli started school and is having a good semester so far.  She is taking an oil painting class, families and sexuality, family social policy and law, yoga, institute, and independent study.  It is a lot less work than last semester so we are both very happy about that

Holli and I have also been working on the house a little bit.  We have been painting furniture and so far it has come out very nice.  I wish I could say we were done, but we still have the dining room table to paint.  Then we will be done, unless Holli gets more crazy ideas, which I think she

 will.

Also we put up our new pot rack from ikea and later put up our knife strip and lid rack and mirrors.  We have been busy!  This is not to mention Holli's organizing kick that she has been on.  We have a huge load to take to goodwill today!

January was also birthday month.  Holli's was on the 15th and mine was on the 25th.  Holli went on a huge shopping spree thanks to her families and friends.  She came away with a lot of good loot!  I got a bunch of stuff for my grill so I don't have to use a plastic spatula covered in foil to flip our deer burgers anymore.  And I got three suits for the price of one!  All in all we made out good this month.

I have still been on the job hunt.  First I got offered a full-time position at W&L which pays a dollar more an hour and gives me access to benefits and vacation time.  However, at the same time I have been interviewing at Citigroup financial where I would be doing loans.  I know it's not the best time for that but I will be making a lot more money and better yet I wont have to work from 3am to 11am anymore!  Plus they have really good commission and the branch I will be working at is one of the best branches in the district.  The bad thing is my final interview for Citi is on Tuesday and that is the day I have to say yes or no to W&L.  If for some reason I don't get the Citi job it's too late to get the W&L job :(

Well that is January in a nutshell.  Between Holli and I we have been sick all week, but we have a sweet Super Bowl party to go to tomorrow!  I will try to update the blog more than once a month, but I can't make any promises.
