The New Year

This has definitely been one of the more eventful New Years for me.  First of all it is our first New Year together.  Secondly, Candice and Joe got married yesterday.  I am happy for them and wish them the best, but I am glad it is all over.  We arrived at my parents house on Tuesday and as soon as we got there we were put to work.  It has been non-stop till about 2:30 am New Years day.  Today we have just been vegging out.  I have been eating leftover wedding food and watching movies and football all day.  It has been nice!  The break has been great, but Holli and I will be glad to be back home and back to our old life again.
Holli has one more semester to go.  She is really excited about a painting class she is taking.  I think she is even more excited to finish school.  She did really well last semester, but she was always studying.  I think this semester will be a little more laid back.
I go back to work on Monday and I have a feeling that getting used to my 3:00am-11:00am schedule isn't going to be easy.  I am also hitting the job hunt hardcore.  I am a little nervous and excited at what the future holds.  I really want to get a good foundation to build my career on and I know my first job will be really important to making that happen.  I have applied for jobs in Seattle, Spain, the UK, and Ireland.  I have a lot more to apply to and am trying to network the best I can.  I know that will be my best bet.
Well I think that is enough for now.  I hope this blog will help keep family and friends up to date with what is going on with our family.  Oh and we got a dirt devil cone.  I have never been so excited for a vacuum, but it will make it a lot easier to vacuum up box-elder bugs!
