Here is evidence of Charly's first (ok, second) haircut. I say second because I trimmed Charly's bangs a while back and shared it in this post. And whoa, those bangs were short. Thank you everyone for not ridiculing me for that one! It was time for another trim of the bangs, but her hair was starting to look pretty mullet-y, too, so a full blown haircut was in order.
Her hair is growing in beautifully- which, having been a bald baby myself, I am grateful for every day- so I didn't feel too attached to that straggly baby hair. Sure, it had some cute curl to it when it was wet, but it also looked stringy. It was basically always in pigtails. Don't get me wrong, I love those pigtails more than I can say, but I wanted to have other options besides mullet or pigtails.
I've learned a few things since her last haircut, so this time I sat her in the highchair with Elmo on the TV and snacks in hand. This proved to be a good plan, since the only time she squirmed was when I was blocking the TV. I had a hard time getting a good after picture since she isn't at all impressed by my "look cute for the camera!" gimmicks anymore, but you can get the gist of it: a short little bob that *hopefully* can still rock some pigtails.
Ahh, much better.
